AweMUD

The AweMUD project aims to create an Open Source server capable of handling fully interactive worlds. Areas, or "Rooms" as they're called in AweMUD, can contain objects that can be fully interacted with: climbing trees, hiding items under benches, looking through windows, and opening secret doors by uttering mystic words, just to name a few possibilities.

The character system for AweMUD will be equally impressive. With fully dynamic items, skills, and spells, nearly any world imaginable could be crafted. Wizards could craft their own spells. Priests may be granted unique spells by their deities for special achievements. Adventurers could craft their own armor, or have their weapons enchanted. Anything could be done. AweMUD will be as limitless as the human imagination.
Contributing

AweMUD is still in early development, however. While much of the underlying structure is in place, many of the actual features have not been implemented. There are many ways you can contribute to the project, including coding, documentation, testing, design, building, and more.

Please see Contributing for more details on how you can help AweMUD.

Features

We have a Features page available. This list may be out of date from time to time, but in general should convey a good sense of what AweMUD is capable of.

Another good indication of AweMUD's capabilities is our Release Notes file, updated every time a new AweMUD release is made available.
